Did Buzzcocks write Chronicle’s ‘dodgy tabs’ article?

Facebook users were left amused by the headline of a recent Chronicle article, resulting in the main story being largely overlooked in the comment section.

There is no doubt that the story is of interest – particularly to smokers in the city, but the use of the phrase ‘dodgy tabs’ seemed to distract from the discovery by the council.

 

 

As you can imagine, a barrage of witty remarks and memes were left in the comment section by fans of the Chronicle Facebook page – with one user suggesting that Buzzcocks must have written the piece.

Unfortunately, self proclaimed ‘Godfather of Cramlington’ was not the creator of the article – although we are sure a weekly column would go down well with many Chronicle readers.
