Our recent poor weather, which once again has coincided with the arrival of the Hoppings, looks like it will make a dramatic shift – with temperatures set to double in some areas.
Day-time temperatures of 28 degrees and above are expected, with night time figures set to be in the region of 15 degrees.
The predicted heat-wave will be the result of the current sweltering conditions in Spain moving towards the UK. Highs of 44 degrees have been recorded elsewhere in Europe this week – but fortunately we won’t be experiencing heat quite as extreme as that!
Nevertheless, this news will be welcomed by many residents in and around Newcastle – let’s just hope the forecasters are right for once!
