Geordie UFC fighter Andy Ogle shows he’s proud of his roots

Andy Ogle from Tynemouth, Newcastle upon Tyne is a pro Mixed Martial Artist fighting in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Also known as the UFC for short it is firmly recognised as the world’s premier fight organisation.

Being the first and only Geordie to compete on the big stage, he wasn’t shy to show he was proud of his roots at the UFC Fight Night 36 weigh-ins from Jaragua in Brazil.

He first entered the stage wearing his retro 1960’s NUFC shirt then strips down to hit the scales in his Union Jack boxer shorts that are actually made by Newcastle-based designer underwear brand Smuggling Duds.

Andy was at the weigh-in ahead of his fight against Brazilian featherweight Charles Oliveira in what was the first fight of the main card.
