Halloween in Newcastle

This year Halloween falls on a Saturday – which means there’s no excuse for you to not take part in some way, unless of course you are working! It also means that there are events on throughout the weekend, not just on the 31st.
Those of you who have kids will most likely be joining them at a party or supervising them while they go ‘Trick or Treating’, but for the rest of you there are plenty of things planned in and around Newcastle – getting out the house also means you wont be answering the door every 2 minutes!
If you are an adult and looking to join in the fun this Halloween weekend, here are three recommendations…

The big night out, city-centre option:

‘A Nightmare On Collingwood Street’ – Madame Koo, Florita’s and House of Smith

Nightmare on collingwood street 2015
On Saturday, three of Newcastle’s most popular late-night venues will combine for an almighty Halloween event. This full three venue takeover, commanding the largest joint capacity in the city, will present multiple themes and identities to undoubtedly the biggest Halloween party in Newcastle.
The event will features some of the city’s best DJs, covering a range of music genres across 5 different rooms:
Room 1: Madame Koo
DJ David B – Dancefloor treasures and guilty pleasures with multi genre bombs and party winners.

Room 2: Florita’s
DJ Joe Peel – 100% House

Room 3: House of Smith
DJs Dan Stafford & Paul Thomas – House & RnB

Room 4: House of Smith VIP Terrace
DJ Tom Higham – House & Disco

Room 5: Secret Chamber
Five Rooms, five music policies, one huge Halloween Event.
‘A Nightmare on Collingwood Street’ first started 5 years ago and has consistently proven to be the number one choice for party-goers on Halloween – for this reason it is our city-centre recommendation and the obvious choice for those looking for a big night out.
Final release and VIP tickets can be purchased in advance online by clicking here.
This will be a sell-out so if you are thinking of going, make sure you get your ticket as soon as possible.

The Alternative City-Centre option:

You may know of Manny’s New York Pizza Deli because they do the finest and biggest pizza in town (like this 20″ masterpiece pictured above) but it’s also a great place to enjoy a few beers.
Their Halloween party on Friday is brought to you in association with Red Bull. Tickets are £5 which includes a drink on entry and a shot. The party starts at 7.30 and runs through till 3am so you have plenty time to get your freak on with 3 live DJ’s to rock you through the evening.
Mannys Halloween

Manny’s delicious food will be food served until 11pm at which point they will be doing drinks only, with a wide selection of boutique lagers, spirits, wine and of course Prosecco for the ladies.
Manny’s basement is being transformed into a mini club for this Halloween event, featuring the Red Bull DJ Booth with IT Lives, Phil Madden and the one and only Bear Essentials hitting the decks.
A great alternative option for you and your friends to enjoy this Halloween.

The Out of Town Option:

‘Halloween Disco’ – The Rooftop Bar, Kingston Park

If you are looking for a free event with live DJ’s, awesome Halloween-themed cocktails and spooky decor, then The Rooftop Bar’s ‘Halloween Disco’ is a great choice for your night out on Saturday.
Located in Kingston Park Centre, above Luciano’s Italian restaurant (see map below), The Rooftop Bar is a stylish and vibrant venue with a huge selection of drinks on offer. The bar will be completely transformed for their ‘Halloween Disco’, a free event starting at 7.30am this Saturday and finishing at 1am.

'The Morgue-a-Rita'
‘The Morgue-a-Rita’

Their already impressive cocktail selection will feature some Halloween themed drinks for one night only, including the ‘Morgue-A-Rita’, ‘Witches’ Brew’ and ‘Black Devil Martini’. The bar’s resident DJ’s will keep the disco going until the early hours with an eclectic mix of music including Halloween classics such as Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’.
Fancy dress is encouraged but not essential and a prize will be given to the person judged to have the best costume of the night.
