‘Two Geordie legends collaborating together’ – that’s how the media described Cheryl Fernandez-Versini’s visit to several Greggs stores in Newcastle yesterday to promote her new charity project.
The X-Factor judge surprised shoppers in several different locations throughout the town as she launched the partnership between her own charity, Cheryls Trust and the North-East bakers. 5p from every sale of her Belgian Chocolate Crunch bar will go to her charity, which supports disadvantaged young people in the North East.
Check out the video below to see reactions from locals when they met the Geordie pop star. Under the video you will find some comments, both positive and negative, from social media users about her appearances in Town yesterday.

The local news has a story with Cheryl Tweedy in Greggs, did this actually happen today? Peak local news, pack it up, nothing more to see

One Twitter user seemed to be bored of all the negativity…
The internet always seems to explode whenever Cheryl is in the spotlight – remember this time Twitter went crazy over her X Factor mime?
