Tube-style map shows biggest potential pub crawl in Newcastle

This is good news for those who like to bar-hop. A map has been created, in the style of the London Underground map, showing a whole host of bars in and around Newcastle City centre.

The map, created by John Coates and JJM Designs, shows the biggest potential pub crawl in Newcastle – but there’s no chance of completing it in one go.

With almost 200 bars and pubs, finishing a drink in every one of the stops is likely to take a long time – even for those who like a good drink.

John Coates first made a similar map of his home-town Sheffield nearly 10 years ago and was amazed at the reaction. Since then he has created www.pubstops.co.uk – and now it is Newcastle’s turn to be featured.

Here is the map – click on it to see a bigger version…

A poster of the Newcastle map by Pubstops can be purchased for £7.45 at www.pubstops.co.uk – we reckon it would make a great gift!
You can also buy it at Waterstones in Newcastle and Gateshead. Framed copies are available at Fenwicks.
